Hello

Tristan MacKenzie emigrated to Scotland in 2018 from the United States in order to complete his PhD in Theology and Ethics at the University of Edinburgh. A retired high school English teacher with Masters Degrees in Human Relations Counselling and Theology and Ethics, obtaining a PhD and becoming a university lecturer seemed a logical next step.

The Universe had other plans.

Tristan fell in love with Scotland, home to generations of his MacKenzie ancestors, and decided to stay. As for his education and work trajectory? Well, cancer derailed those plans in 2021. Tristan is still fighting Stage 4 cancer with lung and bone metastasis and this business, Feather and Stone, born of that struggle, has become his focus and passion. He wants to use his lived experience as a teacher, counsellor, holistic healer, trauma survivor, and cancer warrior to help as many people as possible, with whatever challenges they are facing, in the time that he has left. His goals are connection, engagement, and using his gifts to help others. We are all just walking each other home. Will you walk with him?
